Meeting up with industry colleagues is an essential part of good business, and as ever during the last couple of months Tim Houghton has been doing just that.
Just a couple of examples – A time to catch up again with Greg Theaker from BVRLA – as founder members FVTH have worked with the BVRLA for many years, and then a visit to RTX and a welcome sit down with Lee Radford at Palfinger. Trade shows are for networking, but they are also for taking a little time, to chat and acknowledge the hard work that has been done over the last year. A snapshot in time, discussion about the future, and review of what has happened over the recent past. Opinions abound and it was a good time to catch up with where people were, and what was happening out there in the industry.
RTX 2025 has been and gone, and many people have
- re-connected with old colleagues
- checked out what is new out there
- made new connections
- talked with suppliers
Meetings with suppliers and trade shows are a part of the fabric of the industry, and their worth is difficult to measure. But in a business where people seriously buy from people – talking face-to-face and being part of the conversation is all important to deliver the best service to your customers. Something FVTH has been doing for a long time!
